Toquade - News

Toquade was recently tasted and rated by the San Francisco Chronicle. Below are extracts from the article "The Chronicle Wine Selections: Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc" by Lynne Char Bennett:

"The panel tasted 48 wines, primarily from the 2006 vintage [....] We liked many of the wines and found several with the attractive, desired combination of concentrated fruit, touch of herb, bright acidity and long finish."

"Rating: TWO STARS 2006 Toquade Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Toquade is French for "craze" or "infatuation", which reflects owner and winemaker Christine Barbe's self-described passion for Sauvignon Blanc. This wine has a nose of hay, high tones of rose petal, citrus and cinnamon spice. Sweet lemon curd, lime zest and tart gooseberry shine, which has a minerally finish. Good value, limited production."
